About MAROKK

Driven by a fascination with ancient craftsmanship and curiosity about the many different cultures we work with, we started MAROKK almost 10 years ago, in our search for the world's most beautiful and unique tiles.
Today, we are 6 employees and have our own showroom in the center of Copenhagen, near the Round Tower. Brothers Jonas and Peter Larsen founded the company in 2013 and live in Los Angeles and Copenhagen, respectively. From here, we visit factories and workshops around the world in our quest for unique craftsmanship, imperfect finishes, and the most beautiful surfaces.
Countless visits to factories in Japan, Morocco, and Sicily allow us to present the largest selection of handmade and high-end tiles on the Scandinavian market today, with more than 5,000 m2 in stock in Copenhagen for immediate delivery across Europe.
We love visiting our producers, selecting new glazes and colors, experimenting with surfaces and shapes, and constantly trying to develop new products for our Scandinavian market.
From our showroom in the heart of Copenhagen, we serve architects, designers, and private customers from all over Europe, providing tile samples, inspiration, and our expertise in Cement, Zellij, and Lava tiles, as well as all our tiles from Japan.
From working in the bustling streets of Marrakech, where, together with a skilled local partner, we have developed our own formats and color palette of Cement tiles, to the beautiful but also harsh nature and culture of Sicily, where we have the strongest and most beautiful glazed handmade Lava tiles produced at the foot of Mount Etna. And to Japan, where we collaborate with several local producers outside Kyoto, one of the most important centers for Japanese ceramics and tile production. Finally, we often visit Fez, Morocco's cultural and spiritual center, which holds a special place in our tile hearts, where the nearly thousand-year-old Zellij tiles are still made exclusively by hand, as they have been for generations and for hundreds of years.
